Daisy Caroline stood at the entrance, gazing up at the towering Clock Tower before her, her heart pounding.
As a star reporter for the Daily Telegraph, Daisy had interviewed many famous people, including politicians, artists, tycoons, soldiers, nobles, and celebrities... But this was her first time facing an interview subject like Li Wei.
No one had risen as quickly as he had, and no one had displayed such exceptional talent and gifts across so many fields. That had been especially true over the past year.
Daisy took a deep breath, then walked up to the front door and rang the bell.
A moment later, a voice sounded.
"Hello."
"Hello, I'm Daisy Caroline, a reporter for the Daily Telegraph. I have an appointment for an exclusive interview with Sir Li Wei." A moment after Daisy answered, the door opened, and Kane, the butler, appeared in the doorway.
"My master is expecting you. Please follow me."
Before coming here, Daisy had done plenty of research and preparation. She knew the knight's home was unusual, but once she actually stepped inside, she realized she had still underestimated it. Unlike the homes of other nobles, the towering knight statues on either side of the sitting room and the high, vaulted ceiling lent the place a solemn, religious atmosphere.
It readily reminded Daisy of the Holy Lord Church's Cathedral, yet there was no symbol of the All-Seeing Eye here. In its place was a skull encircled by roses. Incidentally, there were plenty of rumors about why Sir Li Wei had chosen this design for his Family Crest. People had asked him, but he had declined to comment... Could this Family Crest have some connection to Sir Li Wei's family? Daisy stepped into the Elevator and rode to the top floor.
