"Well enough. Things in Cront are fairly stable, after all, and the Sasha Alliance doesn't currently have the nerve to attack us. I can finally get a good night's sleep. Life is much more comfortable."
"By the way, how are things in Francis?"
Remembering the issue, Li Wei immediately asked, and General Haig shook his head.
"Business as usual. No activity at all. Why?"
"I just feel something isn't quite right."
Li Wei rubbed his chin, his expression grave. He could tell that after defeating Cront, the entire Empire had grown somewhat restless-or perhaps it was more accurate to say that victory had gone to its head. Francis was clearly the most pressing threat, yet they seemed intent on fully absorbing Cront first, perhaps even eliminating the Sasha Alliance, before finally turning back to deal with Francis.
After all, Francis was currently behaving in a thoroughly "harmless" manner, placing it very low on the Empire's list of priorities.
