Whenever Li Wei finally caught a break from his frantic schedule, he lounged around at home like a complete couch potato, enjoying a blissful life of eating and sleeping. He no longer had to draw "Betty the Puppy" or "Iron Legion" himself. All he had to do was provide an outline and sketch the storyboards, and Alice and the studio staff would handle the rest.
If there was anything Li Wei had done himself, it was dragging his exhausted body out to the Great Salt Lake one last time after returning, to see Dr. Tester. He hoped the doctor could design some energy weapons based on the principles behind the stun guns they had previously seized from those aliens.
After all, Li Wei had discovered that energy attacks were more effective than physical attacks against certain incorporeal beings.
Even if they could not initially make them as small as the alien stun guns, that was fine. As long as they could build them at all.
After hearing Li Wei's description, Dr. Tester expressed considerable interest and took Kia along to begin researching the subject.
As for when they would have results, Dr. Tester said he had no idea either. They would give it a try first and see how things went.
Over at the Munitions Factory, John's work had now shifted entirely to producing Guided Missiles with greater range and accuracy, as well as miniaturizing the Jet Engine, preparing it for mass production, and further improving its performance. Li Wei was not surprised. Now that the Empire knew how powerful these things were, it was bound to put them to use.
Perhaps the Queen even wanted to create a missile network that covered the entire world. Then the Empire really would be invincible.
