Principal Williams was actually feeling rather frustrated himself.
As the head of the Casteria Academy of Magic, he naturally knew what had happened. Just over a year ago, a witch had entered this world seeking refuge. That was nothing unusual here. In fact, many creatures with mystical powers entered Microcosms to hide from the outside world.
Principal Williams knew a little about witches, so naturally, he would not let her slip in so easily. As it happened, goblins had occupied Clear Creek Town's lands at the time, causing a poor harvest. Principal Williams had therefore given the witch a test, asking her to find a way to help resolve the problem.
At the time, Principal Williams thought he had everything neatly worked out. This Microcosm was sealed off from the outside. Unless someone possessed mystical powers, like a witch or some other creature, they could neither find it nor enter it. He also wanted to see what methods the witch would use to solve the problem, so he could judge whether she was a good person or a bad one.
The witch had agreed. After leaving, she had found Baron Payne, married him, and used his authority to quietly transfer some grain into the Microcosm.
Up to that point, Principal Williams had been quite satisfied with the witch. What he had not expected was that she would lose her patience and kill Baron Payne when he refused to obey her!
Now Principal Williams knew things had become troublesome. Although he had never left this Microcosm, he knew that a baron was a noble.
