The Whispering Forest was now a scene of utter devastation.
Controlling the Iron Dragon, Li Wei watched it all without the slightest flicker of emotion in his eyes.
Of course he knew that what he was doing was no different from the evil wizards in so many fairy-tale movies.
Usually, characters like that ended up overthrown by the protagonist and the forest's inhabitants working together. Unfortunately, those were fairy tales, not reality.
Reality was simple: the strong preyed on the weak, and the fittest survived.
What Li Wei intended to do now was establish a deterrent.
Why were people afraid of nuclear bombs?
Because they had actually seen how a nuclear bomb destroyed a city.
That was what gave nuclear bombs their deterrent power.
Likewise, if he wanted these creatures to obey, deterrence wasn't something he could establish through words. He had to establish it through killing.
In Li Wei's world, for example, tigers and bears often appeared in forests near cities, yet rarely attacked humans on sight. That certainly wasn't because they were kindhearted and willing to spare people. It was because humans had killed so many of their kind that they knew humans weren't to be trifled with.
There was even footage of a massive black bear charging ferociously toward a crowd, looking utterly unstoppable, only to turn immediately and smoothly run off to the side when someone produced a hunting rifle. That showed it knew what humans were holding, what power it possessed, and feared that power.
That was deterrence.
What Li Wei was doing now was essentially dropping a nuclear bomb on the Whispering Forest to tell its mysterious creatures that humans weren't so easy to mess with.
Would the other side back down?
Li Wei wasn't sure, but he knew perfectly well that a conflict
