Hearing Katie's shout, the half-orc turned around. A trace of contempt even flickered in his eyes when he saw the little girl before him. He did not bother using his axe, merely raising an arm and swinging it at her-he knew he was here to rob people, not kill them.
Killing someone in Ten-Towns would make this an entirely different matter.
Besides, what could a little girl like her possibly do?
As far as the half-orc was concerned, knocking her away would be enough. He would even have to hold back a little. She looked like some rich family's young lady, and if he injured her, he could never afford the compensation-

With a crack, the half-orc's arm bent in a direction it was never meant to bend. Before he could even cry out, he flew backward like a cannonball, hurtling straight across the tavern and slamming into the opposite wall with a dull thud, before collapsing limply to the floor.
Only Li Wei's instruction to hold back had saved him. Otherwise, Katie's punch would have killed the Half-Orc outright.

Just then, the other half-orc who had been competing in the drinking contest let out an angry roar and turned toward Katie. Gripping his battle axe, he charged at her with a shout, raised it high, and swung down hard!
His companion might have underestimated her, but he certainly would not!
Yet facing the Half-Orc's descending axe, Katie merely raised an eyebrow, clenched her little fist, and met it head-on!
