Holding Aria's hand, Li Wei descended from the Tower and entered the hall. The first thing he saw was-corpses everywhere.
In one corner of the hall, the wall had completely collapsed. Katie crouched there, repeatedly reaching out to poke an unfortunate fellow buried beneath the rubble, who was thoroughly dead. Hearing footsteps, Katie looked up at Li Wei, then waved at him with a grin.
"Oh, Mr. Li Wei, you're here! Is that little girl the one who was kidnapped?"

Li Wei nodded, then glanced at the corpses around them. He remembered these bandits being perfectly lively when Katie went off to fight the boss. How had they all died already?
"What happened? Why are all these people dead?"
"Oh, we didn't do this! They just suddenly dropped dead on their own!"
At Li Wei's question, Katie hurriedly raised her hands to indicate that this wasn't her fault. Emily stepped forward with a grim expression and spoke quietly.
