Li Wei thought that with the Beauty God accompanying him, investigating this place and finding out what was happening should not be too much trouble.
But reality proved him wrong.

Li Wei turned and pulled the trigger, aiming behind him. With a bang, the bullet shot straight through the Beauty God and into the black tide in the distance. The monster at the front quickly fell, but more immediately surged forward to fill the gap. Li Wei thought he had been cautious enough, but he had never expected this world to be so dangerous!
At first, Li Wei had thought this world might contain no life at all, but he soon discovered he was wrong. Though the entire world looked as though it had been burned to ashes, it was not entirely lifeless. Or rather... its living creatures had survived in another form. Those animals, those birds, those people—they had lost their original shapes and become shadows left behind after the burning. The people now resembled black silhouettes, with only their eyes glowing red. The other animals were the same. They also seemed to share some kind of consciousness, charging straight at Li Wei and the Beauty God the instant they spotted them.
So Li Wei chose without hesitation-to run.
Fight, my ass. How was I supposed to handle that many?
Li Wei fired another shot over his shoulder. The bullet plunged into the black tide behind him, followed by a thunderous boom as enormous flames erupted from the ground, swallowing a vast swath of monsters.
But the other monsters never stopped. They kept advancing.
Fortunately, Li Wei and the Beauty God were faster. He quickly opened the exit, took her through it, and closed it again!
