By the time Li Wei reached the cab, the driver's face had gone deathly pale.
"S-Sir Li Wei!"
"All right, don't panic."
Li Wei patted the driver on the shoulder, motioning for him to calm down.
"What's happening?"
"I-I don't know... this tunnel doesn't seem to end. This isn't right! I remember it only took a few minutes to get through, but we've been traveling for almost half an hour!"
No wonder the driver was so terrified. Li Wei could understand, especially when looking out from the cab. All they could see were the tracks constantly emerging ahead in the train's lights. Everything else was pitch-black. Traveling endlessly through a place like this really could make someone feel they might be trapped here forever.
"Don't worry."
Li Wei wasn't anxious at all. Now that he knew what kind of place this was, he felt much more reassured. Clearly, this had to be another Sanctuary, and one the Night Goddess hadn't discovered at that. But then again, where had the tracks inside this Sanctuary come from?
