The situation here was just as bad as in the station town near the entrance. Li Wei stepped into a room that had been gathering dust for ages. The first things he saw were overturned tables, chairs, and stools, along with several skeletal remains.
Fortunately, unlike the station town, whose frequent "visitors" had thoroughly ruined the scene, this place had remained relatively intact. Perhaps nothing had come to disturb it after the Spider Monsters sealed it off. Li Wei's eyes immediately lit up.
This was exactly what he needed!
Things were constantly running around that station town, contaminating any traces until they were useless. But this place was different. He could tell that it still preserved the circumstances of what had happened back then. Dust and time had rendered footprints and similar traces useless, and even the clothes on these people had fallen to tatters, but for Li Wei, this was enough!
He immediately had several soldiers switch on their searchlights to illuminate the entire room, then began examining it carefully.
"Mr. Li Wei, have you figured anything out?"
Katie knew nothing about this, but she had spent the longest time with Li Wei. She knew that whenever he walked around a scene and took a look, he could explain exactly what had happened there. Watching him circle the overturned furniture and skeletons now, she grew curious and couldn't help asking.
"Hmm. Interesting. Very interesting."
Li Wei circled the room for quite a while, the corners of his mouth lifting as though he could barely keep himself from laughing.
"Look here."
At Katie's question, Li Wei reached out and pointed at the remains.
"The traces here suggest there was a fierce battle. Hmm, battle isn't quite the right word. A one-sided massacre would be more accurate."
"A massacre?"
