The Samsara Grotto was an alternate dimension formed after the Sage of Six Paths' remains were laid to rest!
Viewed from above, the Samsara Grotto resembled a vast canyon suspended in midair.
Forests covered both sides of the canyon.
Those trees had grown from the Sage's cells, brimming with immense vitality. They were laden with Strange Fruit, which could replenish vast amounts of chakra and life force when eaten!
At either end of the canyon lay springs of fiery red and azure blue. These were the Two Principles Spring, formed from the Sage's Yang Release and yin release chakra.
Four great mountains stood to the east, south, west, and north.
Their terrain had formed from potent lightning, wind, water, and earth attributes combined with natural energy.
The Five Elements Mountain had formed from the Sage of Six Paths' chakra of the five elemental releases.
For some reason, the Flame Mountain formed from his Fire Release chakra had remained in the outside world.
Indra ignored the myriad sights around him and walked straight toward the center of the canyon.
There stood a stone platform, its surface bearing a relief symbolizing reincarnation. The relief matched the marking once found on the Sage of Six Paths' forehead.
Indra stopped below the platform and gazed at the skeleton seated in the center of the relief. With hatred, and some inexplicable emotion beyond hatred, he murmured, "Asura..."
Black Zetsu sneered, "Watching over Hagoromo this way, even now... Asura really was a foolishly dutiful child."
