The Iron Man that landed here was not the same model as the one that had saved Guilliman on Nuceria.
The Iron Man Lox had called over stood roughly six meters tall. Its surface possessed a mirror-like red-and-gold sheen, while its humanoid frame appeared exceptionally thick and powerful. Heavy high-strength alloy armor protected the cognitive core within.
Eleven advanced antimatter furnaces were arranged regularly across its body. Its head sensors radiated dazzling light as Night Haunter's data was captured and recorded from every angle.
This Iron Man was not equipped with ranged weapons such as meltas or plasma guns. Its only means of attack was a pair of metal power fists larger than Night Haunter's head.
Its shoulder guards, designed similarly to Space Marine power armor, granted it greater defensive capabilities. The transmission system deftly routed power into the pair of power fists as their disintegration fields activated, and the Iron Man assumed a guarded stance.
Konrad tried to use his precognitive ability to uncover information about the Iron Man before him, but no matter how he searched through his visions, he found not the slightest trace of it.
This Iron Man should not have existed in the future he had foreseen.
"Guilliman, my brother, the helper you summoned does not seem like much," Curze mocked. During the Great Crusade, his legion had exterminated several pocket empires, and Night Haunter had seen similar Iron Men.
Especially during the Saraman Expedition, when he and the Dark Angels had fought the Men of Iron on the Forge World. The Lion had dispatched seven Men of Iron to keep Night Haunter occupied.
Konrad vividly remembered the adamantium battle claws and graviton vortex cannons of those abominable machines. Their subatomic pulses, in particular, had made him suffer greatly.
But what about this Iron Man?
