After resting and refitting on Pandora for three days, Lox boarded the Red Alert once more. The cargo holds of several cruisers behind him had already been filled with roughly refined Blackstone products.

Once they returned to Macragge, this Blackstone would undergo polarity adjustment according to the methods provided by the Necrons.

"The mission has been completed successfully. It's time to return to Macragge."

Having left Pandora's surface gravity and returned to the Red Alert's standard gravity, Lox felt his body grow somewhat heavy. He flexed his joints, adapting as quickly as possible to standard Terran gravity.

Besides those cargo holds of Blackstone, Magos Lawrence had also collected genetic samples from most of Pandora's lifeforms, along with the gene-seed of those Emperor's Children traitors.

Pandora's bizarre native lifeforms could produce unexpected results if used properly.

For instance, those savage plants capable of briefly withstanding plasma and promethium flamer burns could be catalyzed into rapid growth on the battlefield, potentially creating an environment more favorable to one's own side while the two armies faced each other.

Those immensely dangerous Pandora nuclear toads could be deployed directly in war as miniature Exterminatus weapons, and their poisonous explosions were even harder to guard against than conventional weaponry.

Pandora's six-winged wyverns were also excellent mount options. In electromagnetically disrupted environments, they could serve as biological vehicles for high-speed hit-and-run assaults.

This Mechanicus Magos's expedition had brought him rich rewards. Whenever Lawrence met an acquaintance, the usually impassive man now wore an expression of smug satisfaction, making him seem a little more human.

I really did back the right horse. Adventure alongside Magos Lox comes with danger and opportunity, but there's still more opportunity than danger.

Lawrence secretly sighed to himself. Because of the Mustafar Forge World, Lox had received the title of Magos.
