A vast number of Chaos daemons appeared on Davine's surface. The interior of this already dead planet seemed to have become an enormous Warp rift, allowing countless daemons to emerge from it.

The most numerous were undoubtedly the servants of the four Chaos Gods. The moment these daemons appeared, they surged madly toward the human defensive lines. Khorne's Brass Bulls, covered in spikes and horns, brazenly crashed through the ranks of Slaaneshi Steeds—lavender-skinned daemons with feminine legs, some even bearing human-like breasts.

The Slaaneshi Steeds knocked to the ground by the brutish Brass Bulls let out furious shrieks. From the sphincter-like mouths on their elongated heads shot slender, whip-like steel-blue tongues, and countless sharp barbs lashed across the Bulls' backs.

Even as they charged, the daemons slaughtered one another. Khorne's daemons and Slaanesh's daemons were locked in an inextricable struggle, while Tzeentchian daemons cackled as they scorched Nurgle's sluggish servants with psychic flames.

Endless chaos came crashing toward them. This was the first time the Five Hundred Worlds' forces had encountered Warp daemons on such a massive scale.

Even on the battlefield of Nuceria, Guilliman and the Ultramarines had faced only the Blood God's daemon legions. But now, in order to claim Sanguinius, even the Four Gods, whose struggle never ceased, had temporarily chosen to cooperate.

Of course, perfect cooperation among Warp daemons that hated and fought one another was itself contrary to the nature of Chaos. The fact that they had not yet beaten each other's brains out was already proof that the dark gods behind them were controlling the situation.

Amid such chaos, Space Marines and Warp daemons were mixed together. Bolters and plasma weapons swept across the battlefield, artillery roared, and Tesla Arcs flashed as they banished Warp creatures back into the Sea of Souls.
