As the founder of the Advanced Technology Consortium, Lox had no need to personally handle everything from the moment it was born.
All he needed to do was serve as the helmsman, controlling the course of this colossal vessel as a whole, making sound decisions on major issues, and immediately correcting its direction whenever it showed signs of losing control to avoid hitting an iceberg.
Arkan Land, Cawl, Tarabvita 37, and the aged, frail Ezekiel were all capable of standing on their own. Lox had also liberated the Stone Men, an important force that filled many of the Consortium's vacant middle ranks.
Once the Stone Men gradually matured, the research and production capacity unleashed by the Advanced Technology Consortium would truly erupt. After all, during the Dark Age of Technology, the main force behind scientific research had been the Stone Men and intelligent AI.
What Lox needed to do was not rigidly reproduce the old technology tree. The result of doing so would only be to rob humanity's newly sprouted technology tree of its capacity for innovation and progress.
Though the technology tree that had grown during the Dark Age of Technology had been magnificent, it had been unable to withstand the covetousness and corruption of the Warp gods, nor could it solve the problems born from humanity's internal decay.
What Lox needed to do was turn this technology tree back into a seed, sow it anew in the current environment, absorb the distinctive technologies of other civilizations and species, and let it sprout again through rebirth in fire.
This new technology tree had to possess an extremely strong resistance to the Warp. Otherwise, the towering edifice Lox had built would still collapse with a crash as it had in the past, leaving behind only relics buried amid broken walls
