With the roar of voices strained to their utmost, thousands of arrows flew at once, pouring down over the crowd like a torrential rain.
The mountain folk raced forward as swiftly as cheetahs, dodging and blocking the sharp arrows raining down overhead as they charged toward the distant city wall.
Before long, some reached the foot of the wall. With a powerful leap, they sprang more than ten feet into the air, drove their hooked fingers into the gaps between the bricks, and hauled themselves up by the strength of their fingers, climbing nimbly.
