"What do you want?" Li Chen turned back, a hint of puzzlement on his face as he looked at the man the shopkeeper had called Master Jin.
"Gentlemen." Master Jin cupped his hands. "I am Jin Hongbo, hall overseer of the Earthly Sha Sect's Mistywood Town branch. Would you be interested in making some quick money?"
"Oh? What sort of quick money?" Li Chen asked.
"Simple enough. We're searching everywhere for someone. If you see this young master, you can tell him to come find us, or provide us with a lead. Once it's verified, we'll pay a reward of anywhere from one hundred to one thousand."
Li Chen said, "We're busy hunting demons. We don't have that kind of spare time."
Jin Hongbo said, "Judging by your bearing, you two are clearly men of distinction. I'm sure you'd turn your noses up at the drudgery of handing out flyers and searching for someone. But if you happen to see him, surely you wouldn't refuse to pass along a word?"
Li Chen accepted the portrait Jin Hongbo offered and smiled. "You have a point. Even a mosquito's leg is still a morsel of meat. All right, I'll keep an eye out."
Jin Hongbo said, "Many thanks. Please, go ahead."
Li Chen nodded, then turned and left.
"These people really are putting their backs into it. They must have spent the whole afternoon searching."
After going upstairs, You An did not immediately return to his room. Instead, he came to Li Chen's to discuss things with him.
"He gave me quite a fright just now. I thought he'd approached us because he'd spotted something wrong."
