Roland answered honestly, "I'd like to capture a batch of kobolds. Alive, for use as ritual sacrifices."

The senior student's expression turned serious. "Sacrifices?"

That was strictly regulated in Atrelin. Low-ranking mages were not even permitted to dabble in it.

No wonder even a succubus companion was barred from handling it on his behalf.

"Roland, I really must remind you that worshipping evil gods and the like is illegal here in Atrelin. If you're caught, you could get anything from a reprimand to a fine...
