"What happened to these people? Could this... count as losing a duel too?"

Roland had recently been studying Phantom Magic Cards and Dark Games. Having heard a few secrets from Blaise, he could not help feeling startled and suspicious.

This Xingtian Card was a prime example of a successful modification.

On the magic card fashioned from a magic crystal, Xingtian's image posed in a furious roar, the entire picture strikingly lifelike.

They lay farther away. Nico ran over to check. "They're barely breathing. What should we do?"

Roland thought for a moment, then walked over with the card. There was no reaction whatsoever.

"So that's how it works." Understanding suddenly dawned on him. "Give them a healing potion each. Whether they survive is up to fate.

"I already notified the security forces in Terry City through Wind Message. Someone will come to clean things up shortly."

Then he turned to Trina. "Are you all right now? Would you like to rest in the carriage first?"

"I'm not that fragile." Trina glanced at him, torn over whether she should acknowledge the favor he had done her.
