"Rosa, take a break. Don't wear yourself out."
Inside the Mage Tower, in the Academy Office.
Roland watched Rosa writing at her desk, several Magic Quills floating beside her and automatically copying documents, and reminded her with concern.
Rosa raised her head and gave him a bashful glance, though her face was full of helplessness. "I'm barely pregnant. It won't hurt anything."
"Even so, you need to take care of yourself. I've already asked Aier to bring all the servants over from the manor. They'll help look after you from now on."
Roland told her.
Rosa pressed a hand to her forehead with a wry smile.
Yet warmth filled her heart, bringing a genuine sweetness at being so cherished.
In her eyes, Roland had always been a powerful, wise figure, almost like a god. Only recently, after learning that she was carrying his child, had he begun acting like an ordinary man.
At such moments, he was no longer His Excellency Roland, admired and revered by everyone, but her lover, her husband, her intimate companion.
She unconsciously stroked her still-flat belly, imagining it gradually swelling until her pregnancy began to show.
The magical light shone on her, seeming to lend her a maternal glow that made Roland cherish her all the more.
He forcibly pulled Rosa out of the office and ordered her to stop working. "What are the prime minister and ministers there for? Of course you should leave these matters to them. As queen, you only need to know how to put people to good use."
Governing a country was not really that simple, but with Roland insisting, Rosa could only sigh with a smile and quietly remain at his side, listening as he described his upcoming arrangements for the kingdom, the school, and the Lainer people.
