A clear voice suddenly startled Verlina, pulling her out of her frowning contemplation.
Before her stood a female elf in a mage robe, with the appearance of a young girl.
Her face still held a childish innocence, and her figure was small and delicate. She looked about a hundred years old.
"Vivian, this doesn't concern you. Have you finished today's training exercises? How did you score?"
Verlina offered little explanation. After all, Vivian was still a girl who had only just left childhood behind.
Although elves usually declared themselves adults after their hundredth birthday, and Vivian had eagerly held her coming-of-age ceremony the moment she advanced to a seventh-rank magic user, in Verlina's eyes, she would always be that innocent little child.
