Shortly after the situation on the Skyrealm Floating Island took a sudden turn, Roland received the news.
Roland hurriedly asked, "Can we contact the Lainer Legion?"
"Lord Nalanerduo issued a retreat order, then communications went down. We can't reach them for now."
Roland instructed, "Find a way to contact them."
"Yes!"
This unexpected development disrupted many of his arrangements here, but in truth, the fall of the Skyrealm Floating Island was not entirely unexpected.
The Plane Tide there had been steadily eroding the Material World, like floodwaters scouring the land and washing away the soil.
After repeated battles, the void was already riddled with holes. It was only natural that another massive tide would overwhelm it.
"Teacher, the Skyrealm Floating Island has fallen..."
"A confidential message from Grand Mage Dorin..."
"Lord Roland, an urgent message from Atrelin..."
Before long, Farn, Grand Mage Dorin, Antonia, and others contacted Roland in turn to discuss the matter.
Roland briefly reassured Farn and discussed possible responses with Grand Mage Dorin before focusing on his conversation with Antonia, once again raising the issue of Atrelin sending military aid.
"I believe we should send troops directly to help Sinvira!"
Now that the time was ripe, Roland no longer concealed his opinion.
"This isn't a matter of personal attachment or calculating our own gains. If there is any benefit to speak of, it's keeping the enemy beyond our borders and minimizing the risk of war breaking out on our own soil."
"Keeping the enemy beyond our borders?" Antonia sounded troubled. "I feel the same way, but the commissioners don't think this is a good idea.
"After all, this is a decision to deploy troops. We have to exercise the utmost caution."
