A few words on finishing the book, and the usual chat

Sorry for the rather rushed ending. There were originally supposed to be a Lainer Empire arc, a Star Sea arc, and so on after reaching Legendary, but every book I've launched over the past two years has flopped. Maybe I really can't keep up with the times anymore.

Poor results weren't the biggest issue. The real problem was that I hadn't chosen the subject matter well either. System-heavy material requires an enormous amount of knowledge and imagination to support it. Building the Seris Runes system, along with new magic... I lost my momentum partway through and couldn't keep going, so I had no choice but to wrap things up as soon as possible and try to regain my creative form with a new book.

As frustrating as this is, please take those circumstances into account and be as understanding as you can. This wasn't what I wanted. I really did give it my all-I wasn't just slacking off! I still have ideas and am willing to work hard; I just lack the ability, and I'm getting older...

Looking back over these past two years, the trouble may have started with Great Qian Demon Suppressor. After it flopped, I refused to accept it and, in a moment of muddled thinking, decided to write two books at once. I forgot that I was already a middle-aged old guy in my thirties, nowhere near what I'd been when I was younger in any respect. As a result, I didn't write either book well. I deeply regret that, and I've had to examine myself and reflect much more seriously!

This time, my reflections aren't limited to things like subject matter, trends, or the broader environment.

Those are really just surface issues.

I still firmly believe that good writing and good ideas can break through
