Inside the Orvisto Wizard Tower, basement level one.

As the dimensional teleportation activated, Roland and his companions returned to the tower laden with bags, carrying all sorts of gifts and purchases, bringing their certification trip to a definitive end.

"We've been away for so many days that work must have piled up in the tower. I'll go take care of it."

Her eyes slightly red, Froya said a few words to the three of them and recited an incantation.

In the blink of an eye, she went upstairs with Dimensional Jump.

"What's wrong with our senior? She made up with Miss Sophia earlier and seemed so happy," Skord asked, puzzled.

"After this trip, Sophia and the others will be leaving Rune City too. Who knows when they'll have another chance to see each other?" Roland said.

"Can't they still keep in touch by mail?" Skord asked blankly.

"I can't be bothered explaining it to you." Roland waved a hand. "I'm heading back first. Yvonne, see you later."

"Y-yes, see you." Hugging her books, Yvonne bowed and hurriedly replied.

"See you." Skord stopped bothering with his earlier question and waved to him as well.

Then he suddenly realized something. "Hey, why are you all running off?"

Roland walked faster and faster. In moments, he rounded the doorway and disappeared.

Left with no choice, Skord stayed behind with Yvonne to deal with the luggage.

Just then, Roland, who had already boarded the Floating Stairway, noticed that the Tower Spirit had locked onto him. A screen was promptly projected in front of him.

"Roland, are you back already? Come over here. I have something to ask you."

It was a message from Ovesto.

Roland dared not delay. He quickly canceled his original destination and changed it to the Mage Tower's ninth floor.
