National Day is almost here, fellow Daoists-rush over and show your support! I'm asking for votes of every kind!!!

A month after going premium, the book finally got a category recommendation this week. If you haven't added it to your library, please do, and if you can enable automatic subscriptions, please do that too. At least the numbers will look a little better, which might mean more opportunities down the road.

The winner-takes-most effect is very pronounced in web fiction, following the Matthew effect. Sometimes, a tiny bit of casual support from you might be enough to get my snowball rolling and double my results; other times, being just a little short of that extra push might send me tumbling into a ditch.

So, please!

Now, looking back at September's updates: I've kept up ten thousand Chinese characters a day throughout September, and I'm almost at thirty full days. The plan for October is one or two updates a day, so I can take something of a break. Please bear with me.

Lately, I've been staying up late every night and sleeping only four or five hours. My nerves are getting frayed. What I thought would be easy turned out to be so hard once I actually tried it.

Heaven have mercy, it was just a whim-I only wanted to earn a "ten thousand characters a day" badge...

Thinking it over carefully, the gains really haven't quite made up for the losses. The book had just gone premium at the time, and I'd reached the point after the protagonist settled the affair with the Great Lin River God, opened the door to a new world, and plunged into the rough-and-tumble martial world. There was a stretch of plot involving magical battles developing along the lines of Investiture of the Gods.
