White light swirled in Min Lian's palm, shifting into all manner of shapes at her will before suddenly turning into wisps of smoke. Waves of lotus fragrance rose from her body as she used the method of transforming spirit into incense to catalyze its circulation.
Only now had she truly reached the level of life that grassroots rogue cultivators dreamed of, completing a tremendous leap in her own standing.
Li Ling said, "Unfortunately, I can only extrapolate my method as far as Foundation Establishment for now. As for Core Formation and Nascent Soul, even I haven't the slightest clue."
Min Lian came back to herself and said, "Fellow Daoist Li, I'm already more than satisfied to have reached Foundation Establishment. This really was all thanks to your selfless instruction. I owe you far too much. If the opportunity ever arises, I will repay you."
Li Ling said, "You're being far too serious, Fellow Daoist Min. I was only testing my own Dao path."
Min Lian said, "Still, the incense path has achieved something at last. With your current attainments, Fellow Daoist Li, you could announce it publicly and establish a sect, and you would certainly attract a following of disciples."
Li Ling said, "That's precisely what I intend. There are actually quite a few niche Dao paths and small sects in the cultivation world, each with its own opportunities and cultivation secrets.
"This method of cultivating by consuming incense should qualify as a unique secret, shouldn't it?
"Unfortunately, it isn't suitable for everyone. Fortunately, that also means I needn't worry about it being so rare and precious that merely possessing the jade would become a crime."
Min Lian nodded. That was indeed the case.
