When Li Ling returned to the cave, he found Mu Qingsi waiting anxiously.
She hurried up to him and looked him over. Only after confirming that he truly was unharmed did she inwardly breathe a sigh of relief.
Li Ling said, "Don't worry, I'm fine. Heh, after advancing to Core Formation, my strength has soared. Even Cheng Xiong was no match for me."
Mu Qingsi sighed in amazement. "I thought there would be a fierce battle, and that we might even have to abandon the island and flee. Now it seems your strength places you firmly among the upper ranks of Core Formation cultivators."
Li Ling said, "I thought so just now, too. But on closer reflection, the strong gather like clouds in this world, and there are still many experts out there. Some can even rival an entire sect single-handedly. Numbers mean nothing before them.
