Honestly, I had some inkling this was coming, but it still felt a little rushed. I don't have any chapters stockpiled. I'll see tomorrow whether I can manage a burst of releases, but there should at least be two updates.
The book currently has 12,130 bookmarks. It looks like we may not have made the major recommendation slot, but let's put that aside and get the paid release underway first. I won't need to hold back the word count anymore, either. Then I can update whenever I want and lounge around like a salted fish whenever I want (scratch that last part). Wouldn't that be lovely?
Every time I start a new book, it feels like setting out on an unknown journey. The road ahead stretches far, with countless sights waiting along the way.
Anything that exists ought, by and large, to seek its own meaning. At this moment, this book will put that idea to the test: after its paid release, it will face the judgment of readers and fellow book lovers, and the judgment of the market.
The original idea for "Incense Ancestor" came from traditional incense culture and the path to enlightenment taken by the Fragrant-Adornment Youth Bodhisattva in Buddhism. The subject is admittedly rather niche, but my longtime readers have been kind enough to keep supporting this creative style and these habits of mine, letting me scrape together a living from webnovels even while my books flop. I truly cannot thank you enough. As another paid release arrives, please give me your support. As long as you subscribe to the official release, I can't promise anything else, but it should at least be worth the price of admission.
