Chapter 331: You're messing with me, right?
On the far side of the sea, several sharks prowled around the supposed epicenter.
They were all the Red Banshee's pets. Beyond these, many more fish were scattered throughout the ocean, including a white dolphin that seemed to have evolved.
After her resurrection, the Red Banshee was unquestionably one of the strongest sea nymphs, and sea nymphs naturally had a strong affinity for aquatic creatures, especially marine life, as well as the ability to command them.
The Holy Spirit's rough prediction had only indicated a general area. Even narrowed down to a location, it still covered a vast stretch, making verification by people troublesome.
Fortunately, most of the area lay at sea, so the Red Banshee's pets could do the work. Animals' instincts were usually accurate, and their reactions were sharper, too.
When the first two earthquakes occurred, two dolphins had already reported them. Of course, they couldn't swim across the vast ocean to deliver their reports, nor could they use high-tech equipment.
But the Red Banshee had left a trace of magic power in some of her favorite pets.
Dolphins could "sing," too. A few suitable notes were enough to activate that trace of magic power. Carried through the seawater, those brief songs would reach the nearest underwater mystic realm, whose power would then treat them as a signal and notify the Red Banshee.
Naturally, there weren't many underwater mystic realms compared to the boundless ocean. But since these songs effectively carried a sea nymph's magic power, they traveled extremely fast through the water, reaching the Red Banshee's ears after two hours.
One reason certain naive creatures had revered ancient sea nymphs as ocean deities was their ability to command marine life.
"So that's what it is."
