"It looks like a building?"

"Could it be the shadow of some aquatic plants?"

Everyone talked over one another, offering little but questions, yet none of their companions could answer.

Philier's heart began pounding faster. He took the camera from the young Black man and replayed the footage several more times.

This time, he set it to the slowest playback speed.

They watched it frame by frame and did indeed make out part of a blurry outline.

The darkness at the bottom of the lake and the shifting currents made it seem to sway.

Still, they could roughly make out part of a pointed triangle, with several slightly smaller pointed tops faintly visible around it.

"That doesn't make sense... It's not a pyramid, and it's way too short... Could it just be a patch of rocks?"

"Or some sort of sculpture from back then?"

Someone else offered another less-than-promising theory.

After pondering for a long while, one of the girls suddenly thought of something.

"Maybe that part underwater is a depression, a really deep one. If we want to find out what's actually there, we'd better dive again and search in that direction."

Her words struck a chord with Philier.

From the moment he saw that footage, his only thought had been that he absolutely had to go down again.

"Exactly! Lisa's right. We have to dive again. Right now!"

Philier immediately tried to get up and head back into the water.

His companions quickly talked him out of it.

Visibility at the bottom of the reservoir was poor enough already. Now it was dark, and they were exhausted. Going down at this point would be far too dangerous.
