Sorry, I went out to enjoy the New Year's Day festivities and forgot to write a note about the story going premium.
This story began with a fire and a rainstorm in the mountains, following an insignificant being who muddled along, perhaps without even a goal, striving to stay alive, never all that brave, stepping back when it was time to step back, yielding when it was time to yield. There would not be much excitement; loneliness would be the norm. That was simply how the world was: the rain had to fall, and the road had to be walked.
Thank you all for putting food on my table. I don't have much to say, and I'm usually quiet-the sort of person who gets overlooked in a crowd. All I can do is say thank you.
As I always say, the most important thing for a Cultivator is to keep themselves hidden.
