Arc 9A Dragon Goes to School

Jin Si moved to Pillowstar Mountain, then began studying in the Mortal Realm while learning to control his new dragon form. Rumors blamed a flood dragon for a deadly flood, and after tragedy struck the Opera Garden, Lin Wei sent Jin Si on an escort mission.

  • Jin Si completed an imperfect transformation into a Black Flood Dragon, then traveled with Xiao Yu and Red Clothes to Pillowstar Mountain and settled there.
  • Jin Si met Daoist Pang, who arranged for him to study in the Mortal Realm, and he joined Teacher Jiang’s school while staying at the Medicine King Temple.
  • Jin Si struggled with lessons and balanced school with cultivating, tending his medicine field, and exploring Pillowstar Mountain.

Arc 10Dragon Veins and Floods

Jin Si protected Wang Ying during her departure, hunted dangerous creatures, and investigated attacks on the region’s dragon veins. After he killed the plotters, he learned the damage would bring upheaval, and floods soon devastated the land as the rebel army withdrew.

  • Jin Si helped Wang Ying complete her breakthrough by defending her from uncanny creatures and resentful dead, then escorted her to Pillowstar Mountain before returning to the Medicine King Temple.
  • Jin Si freed Huang Xing from kidnappers and later hunted down a man-eating lion with Lin Wei and the other Daoists, killing it with a venomous ambush.
  • Jin Si learned to fly from Wang Ying and agreed to protect her younger brother’s family for three years in exchange for medicinal ingredients.
  • After receiving a map from the Jiang Household, Jin Si and Little Feather hunted people digging at dragon-vein sites, while Xiao Yu and Red Clothes helped him overcome their formations.
  • Jin Si and his companions killed the intruders at the marked locations, but Daoist Jiang warned that the dragon vein had already been broken and would take time to recover.

Arc 11The Eerie in the River

Jin Si hunted evil spirits, helped defeat the Eerie threatening the villagers, and continued preparing for winter hibernation while balancing life at Pillowstar Mountain and the Village School. The arc left him seeking new ways to advance his cultivation, including learning spear techniques from the soldiers.

  • Jin Si learned that an Ancient Clan’s collateral branch had destroyed the dragon vein to create a secret realm, then focused on his cultivation and ignored reports of other troubles.
  • Jin Si discovered a ghost feeding on villagers’ worship and later investigated a wealthy household afflicted by deaths and malign energy.
  • Jin Si joined Xiao Yu and Red Clothes in hunting evil spirits, killing several threats and bringing Red Clothes to Pillowstar Mountain to register her portrait.
  • Jin Si sent his spirit to protect Master Wang from a spirit posing as a Celestial Person, and Wang Ying later thanked him and spoke with Red Clothes about cultivation.

  • Jin Si fought alongside the Daoists and Spirit Demons until they burned the weakened Eerie, then checked that the Dragon-Suppressing Stakes had been cleared from the river.
  • Jin Si arranged airtight bags for his medicinal herbs, attended the True Person’s teachings, planted herb seeds, returned to the Village School, and agreed to consecrate a classmate’s Jade Pendant.
  • Jin Si watched soldiers train with a long spear and decided their battlefield techniques could help him overcome his stalled swordsmanship.
