As for the "payoff moments," since the protagonist hadn't developed much early on, I mostly focused on building anticipation. I'm a complete newbie, so I may not have thought everything through, but we're almost there. The protagonist has pretty much finished developing in volume one, and we're about to enter the payoff harvest season.
There will definitely be killing.
Because this is a story about "rebellion." Some fucking assholes have turned the world into a foul, smoky mess. They sit high above everyone else, sorting people into tiers and ranks, treating people as less than human. Can't stand it, so tear it all down.
4. Now that the book is going premium, I'll work hard to write more and update more [*provided I can maintain the quality].
5. When system panels appear again in the premium chapters, I'll abbreviate them unless there's a need not to. Most of the time, I'll only mention what has changed, such as available experience points or level changes, and show just the changes in that field.
