Ch. 426A mere little trick

Chu Mo obtained a counterfeit Di Yang from Yichu to deceive the Heavenly Dao and protect his disciple. Di Yang, deeply moved by Chu Mo’s care, began transferring his memories into the counterfeit.

  • Chu Mo sensed that the Netherworld Soil was rapidly overtaking Eternal Night while the Delusion-Realm Grand Array concealed the changes from the Heavenly Dao.
  • Yichu gave Chu Mo a counterfeit Di Yang made with Dao-Eroding Divine Breath, explaining that it could become indistinguishable from the real one after receiving his memories.
  • Chu Mo checked for abnormalities, then told Di Yang that the counterfeit would take his place when the Heavenly Dao reclaimed him.
  • Di Yang thanked Chu Mo and kowtowed, recalling how Chu Mo had saved him and helped the people of Eternal Night.
  • Chu Mo told Di Yang to transfer all his memories into the counterfeit, and Di Yang pressed his hand to its forehead as white light shone.

Ch. 427The Golden Vault Ascends to Heaven, Facing the Heavenly Dao

After Eternal Night was fully absorbed by the Netherworld soil, Chu Mo hid his body and raised the golden vault into the Spirit Realm. There the Eternal Night Heavenly Dao attacked him, and Chu Mo saw its true level for the first time.

  • The false Di Yang recovered, and Chu Mo sent him to rest before waiting for the Netherworld soil to consume the remaining land of Eternal Night.
  • Chu Mo hid his body in the true world, prepared three protective treasures, and waited until his Yin-Yang Jade count reached three.
  • Chu Mo entered the Spirit Realm through celestial-human communion and found that the root origin of death seemed to welcome him.
  • Chu Mo used the root origin as an anchor to raise the golden vault, while the Present World’s gravity tried to pull it back.
  • Chu Mo empowered the Divine Mountain with the Profound Banner Ink Seal and broke through into the Spirit Realm.
  • The Eternal Night Heavenly Dao recognized the Divine Mountain and attacked Chu Mo, whose panel revealed its level as 60.

Ch. 428The Mystique of the Root Origin, Manifested Here

Chu Mo used the Profound Banner and a poisoned false Di Yang to weaken the Eternal Night Heavenly Dao, then seized the death root origin and incorporated it into his True Realm. When the Heavenly Dao tried to destroy Eternal Night, Chu Mo killed it with the Life-and-Death Twofold Life-Nourishing Sword.

  • Chu Mo used the Profound Banner to control Eternal Night in the Present World and block the Heavenly Dao's attacks, while the Delusion-Realm Grand Array diverted its blows.
  • The Heavenly Dao found the false Di Yang and swallowed him, only for the Dao-Eroding Divine Breath within him to poison and weaken it.
  • Chu Mo seized the root origin of death, incorporated it into his True Realm, and caused Eternal Night and its corresponding Spirit Realm region to advance.
  • The poisoned Heavenly Dao recovered enough to attempt mutual destruction and charged toward the Divine Mountain, while Chu Mo left his True Realm to confront it.
  • Chu Mo struck the Heavenly Dao with the Life-and-Death Twofold Life-Nourishing Sword, killing it as its body shattered into luminous fragments.

Ch. 429Why Don't You Have a Name Growing on You?

Chu Mo endured the Earth Tribulation, recovering his sealed memories after realizing people lacked names growing above their heads. As he awakened in the Spirit Realm, three scaled figures spotted his world approaching Fuli and prepared to seize his root origin.

  • Chu Mo entered an illusion as the Earth Tribulation began and lived as the Northern Sword Sect's Sect Master, eventually defeating the Demon Dragons before dying after three thousand years.
  • Chu Mo awoke in another illusion as a Spirit Transformation bandit and questioned why people had no names growing above their heads.
  • Chu Mo's sealed memories resurfaced, and he opened his eyes in the Spirit Realm.
  • Three scaled figures searching for the Dragon Venerable's Remnant Husk saw Chu Mo's world approaching Fuli and recognized that he had mastered a source.
  • The three figures decided to attack Chu Mo and take his root origin.

Ch. 430Wield the authority of heaven and earth, ascend to become a god!

Chu Mo completed Spirit Transformation, formed his Dharma Body, and gained deeper insight into his All Beings Aspect Divine Ability. Three Dragon Lords confronted him for his root origin, and Chu Mo’s death-infused sword strike destroyed Jiyuan Dragon Lord’s Dharma Body.

  • Chu Mo completed Spirit Transformation, formed his Dharma Body, and saw Eternal Night speeding toward Fuli.
  • Chu Mo inspected his damaged treasures and discovered that All Beings Aspect could let him take over an Other-Self Aspect if he abandoned his current fate.
  • Canghan Dragon Lord, Mo Ting Dragon Lord, and Jiyuan Dragon Lord arrived and demanded that Chu Mo surrender his root origin.
  • Jiyuan Dragon Lord tried to attack Chu Mo, but Chu Mo’s pitch-black sword cut through Canghan Dragon Lord’s water-vapor defense and split Jiyuan’s Dharma Body in half.
  • Canghan Dragon Lord recoiled in terror and demanded to know what root origin Chu Mo wielded and how his control was so deep.

Ch. 431Weren't These Congratulatory Gifts Quite Generous?

After ascending, Chu Mo used the Death Origin and Great Black Heaven to defeat the two true dragons, killing Purple-Gold Crown and forcing Inkscale Armor to flee. He collected the treasures left behind, then pursued the escaping dragon with the Ink Seal.

  • Chu Mo mocked the two dragons for bringing no congratulatory gifts and trapped them in Great Black Heaven.
  • Purple-Gold Crown and Inkscale Armor unleashed their ocean and thunder Mystiques, but Chu Mo used the darkness to evade their attacks and ambush them.
  • Chu Mo revealed that he was a Disciple of Tribulation Deliverance Sect, then used the Two Forms Sword to destroy Purple-Gold Crown's Mystiques and kill him.
  • Chu Mo collected three treasures from Purple-Gold Crown and realized Inkscale Armor had escaped the darkness.
  • Inkscale Armor fled until he could no longer sense Chu Mo, but a shadow of the Ink Seal appeared above him and descended to strike.

Ch. 432Sect Master!

Chu Mo defeated the last true dragon, then faced Sect Master Xuanming, who tried to seize his root origin through karmic debts. Chu Mo used the Change Coin to weaken the pull, but Xuanming dragged him into a sealed underworld domain.

  • The Ink-Scale Dragon Lord used his Profound Pearl against Chu Mo’s Ink Seal, but the seal destroyed his dharma body.
  • Chu Mo called out Xuanming, who emerged from the Spirit Realm and admitted he had sent the three dragons to test Chu Mo’s control of his root origin.
  • Xuanming used Upper Mound’s Interest-Bearing Loan to exploit Chu Mo’s karmic debts and try to take his root origin.
  • Chu Mo recognized the divine ability’s reliance on karma and used the Change Coin to cancel many of the debts binding him.
  • Chu Mo attacked Xuanming with his sword and Ink Seal, but Xuanming used the remaining debts to pull him into a dark domain cut off from the outside world.

Ch. 433Heaven truly denied me its favor

Xuanming trapped Chu Mo in Netherworld and tried to make him surrender his root origin, but Chu Mo resisted and found a way to escape. Xuanming abandoned his pursuit under the warning of Harmony Truth's Dao Venerable and resolved to take what Heaven denied him by force.

  • Xuanming revealed Netherworld and offered Chu Mo a place in his Dao Integration plan in exchange for his root origin, but Chu Mo refused.
  • Xuanming sent banner spirits to attack Chu Mo, who discovered that his death mystique could dispel the spirits' concealment and destroy them.
  • As Eternal Night sank into Fuli, Heaven's Will spat out Netherworld soil, and Chu Mo used the moment to combine his power from inside and outside Netherworld and escape.
  • Xuanming began to pursue Chu Mo, but stopped when Harmony Truth's Dao Venerable warned him with a gaze.
  • Xuanming recalled his lifelong bad luck, ordered the banner spirits to go dormant, and resolved to take what he wanted himself.

Ch. 434Two Paths to Dao Integration

After escaping Sect Master Xuanming, Chu Mo learned from Yichu about the two paths to Dao Integration and the need to settle people who could support a new Dao. He examined his new true realm and scripture, then suspected Xuanming had hidden a root origin connected to the Mountain of Origin.

  • Chu Mo met Yichu, who explained that Xuanming nearly reached Dao Integration and had long awaited Fuli's bestowal of Chu Mo's Dao Heavenly Register.
  • Yichu outlined the two Dao Integration methods and warned Chu Mo that establishing a new Dao required people to bear it, including the Human Race from his Heavenly Register Realm.
  • Chu Mo inspected his Luo Feng True Realm and discovered that his transformed scripture described a Dao built from the [Life], [Death], and [Netherworld] origins.
  • Chu Mo wondered where the [Life] origin was and connected Xuanming's actions to the Mountain of Origin map he had once glimpsed in the Lesser Origin Realm.
  • Chu Mo decided to stabilize his cultivation and find a home for the Eternal Night Sea's living beings, considering a grotto-heaven on Youxuan Peak.

Ch. 435Entering the Register, Announcing It to the Sect

Chu Mo thanked the Pure Keeper Dao Venerable, who arranged for his promotion to Dao Lord to be announced and warned him that Sect Master Xuanming excelled at concealment. After his name was entered in the sect register, Chu Mo assessed his new cultivation needs and considered how to prepare for Xuanming’s covert moves.

  • Chu Mo visited the Pure Keeper Dao Venerable, who told him his ascension would be announced to the sect and warned him to beware Xuanming’s concealment abilities.
  • The Tribulation Deliverance Sect proclaimed that True Lord Youxuan had become Dao Lord Youxuan, drawing astonishment from the disciples and prompting Ming Su to prepare for his own breakthrough.
  • Chang Le reacted to Chu Mo’s rapid promotion by deciding she needed to seize [Dream] as soon as possible.
  • Chu Mo learned that Spirit Transformation cultivators relied on barter and Spirit Matter rather than Dharma Coins, then inspected the treasures dropped by the True Dragons.
  • Chu Mo decided to exchange the unsuitable ocean-themed treasures and examined a Heavenly Dao Source Fragment.

Ch. 436Plucking Worlds Like Chess Pieces

Chu Mo bought Wusang World and transformed it into Wusang Grotto-Heaven, giving the people of Eternal Night a safe home. After ordering Di Yang to help their population prosper, he returned to the Spirit Realm and prepared to consolidate his cultivation and address the Sect Master's threat.

  • Chu Mo met Mo Yan and purchased Wusang World, trading the Thousand Streams, Ten Thousand Waves Treasure Seal for the world and one thousand Spirit Matter.
  • Chu Mo located Wusang World in the World Sea and refined it into a treasure pearl called Wusang Grotto-Heaven.
  • Chu Mo moved the people of Eternal Night from the Profound Banner into Wusang Grotto-Heaven, where they experienced sunlight for the first time.
  • Chu Mo told Di Yang that Wusang would be Eternal Night's new home and ordered him to lead its people in settling down and prospering.
  • Chu Mo returned to the Luo Feng True Realm, resolved to consolidate his cultivation and deal with the Sect Master's threat, then turned his attention to Everjoy Peak.

Ch. 437Strange Writing

Chang Le claimed the Dream Origin and survived the Earth Tribulation, but a mysterious writer began reclaiming her as a fictional character. Chu Mo severed the writer’s connection to Chang Le and traced the source to Dao Lord Moyan.

  • Chang Le absorbed the Dream Origin, merged with the Floating Dream True Realm, and endured a sequence of Earth Tribulation illusions with help from Xi Shang’s protective treasure.
  • After completing her Dharma Body, Chang Le saw a woman identical to herself and began to remember her true identity as her body and Dharma Body vanished.
  • Xi Shang found Chang Le gone from the Spirit Realm and blamed the True Harmony Association.
  • Chu Mo realized that Chang Le was being reclaimed by the person who had written her into existence, so he used Death Upon Touch to sever their connection.
  • Chu Mo followed the karmic link to a library where Dao Lord Moyan was writing in a book titled “Chronicle of Chang Le.”

Ch. 438This Time, We Played by the Rules!

Chu Mo met Mo Yan over the Dream origin, and Mo Yan argued that Chu Mo’s Nascent Soul-era arrangement with Chang Le made Harmony Truth the winner under the contest’s rules. Dao Lord Xi Shang then appeared and attacked Mo Yan with the divine ability Heart-rending Grief, while Chu Mo watched from the edge of the fight.

  • Mo Yan discovered that the final pages of the Chronicle of Chang Le had lost their power and summoned the person who had obstructed his divine ability.
  • Chu Mo admitted he had refined Chang Le into an avatar while he was still at Nascent Soul, and Mo Yan declared that this meant Harmony Truth had won the round under the rules.
  • Mo Yan explained that he had intended to make Dream support competing interpretations so the contest could be repeated, but Chu Mo’s action had secured the origin for Harmony Truth.
  • Chu Mo and Mo Yan were overcome by sorrow, and Mo Yan identified the cause as the divine ability Heart-rending Grief.
  • Dao Lord Xi Shang appeared, accused Mo Yan of using Chang Le to frame her, and unleashed sorrowful divine light that focused most of its force on him.
  • Chu Mo realized Xi Shang was targeting Mo Yan and held back to observe the Spirit Transformation cultivators’ fight.

Ch. 439The exalted seat of Sect Master belonged to the capable

Mo Yan and Chu Mo drove Xi Shang from the Spirit Realm, then joined Yichu to plan Chu Mo’s bid for Harmony Truth’s Sect Master position against Xuanming. As the others departed, Chu Mo began to suspect Harmony Truth wanted to reproduce Reincarnation for its own purposes.

  • Mo Yan wounded Xi Shang with his Mystique, but her Path of Sorrow overwhelmed him until he hid inside his book; Chu Mo watched as Xi Shang’s attacks stirred grief in him too.
  • Mo Yan emerged and persuaded Xi Shang to leave, after which the sorrow and resentment affecting him and Chu Mo faded.
  • Chu Mo, Mo Yan, and Yichu met on Harmony Truth Inner Peak, where Mo Yan proposed that Chu Mo challenge Xuanming for the Sect Master seat.
  • Yichu explained that the position would aid Chu Mo’s cultivation and outlined how he could win support from Extinction Life, while warning that Upper Mound would remain difficult to sway.
  • Mo Yan promised to report Chu Mo’s claim to his superior, and Yichu offered to introduce Chu Mo to a Life-Ending Society cultivator who commanded [Killing].
  • After Mo Yan and Yichu left, Chu Mo wondered what Harmony Truth hoped to gain from Reincarnation and suspected it planned to reproduce it.

Ch. 440What Are You, to Dare Take What's Mine!

Chu Mo met Ji Heng to discuss their differing root origins, but Ji Heng abruptly challenged him to a fierce battle. As Ji Heng began turning his killing mystique on himself, Yichu intervened with a mirror technique, and Chu Mo seized the reality of his own mirror image before it vanished.

  • Yichu arranged for Chu Mo to meet Ji Heng, a Dao Lord of the Slaughter Society, in the Spirit Realm.
  • Ji Heng rejected the lineage's usual justification for killing and attacked Chu Mo to test his strength.
  • Chu Mo and Ji Heng fought with their root origins and magical treasures while Yichu concealed the battle and watched with Primordial Beginning.
  • Ji Heng's killing frenzy escalated until he tried to use his mystique to kill himself, alarming Chu Mo and Yichu.
  • Yichu summoned mirror images that could seize the originals' reality, but Chu Mo used the pulling force to draw in and refine his own image's reality as an other-self aspect.

Ch. 441You certainly know how to sum things up

Chu Mo secured the Extinction Life lineage’s support and learned that the Sect Master might possess another Root Origin, while Yichu warned him that the lead could be a trap. The chapter ended with Chu Mo discovering that Xuanming borrowed his ability to bestow Dao Registers from a Dao Venerable of Upper Mound.

  • Ji Heng ended his duel with Chu Mo, agreed to support his efforts, and promised to warn him if Xuanming hired Extinction Life disciples against him.
  • Mo Yan told Chu Mo that the society would support his bid for Sect Master if he later handed [Dream] to a future True Lord who cultivated the Dream Dao and guaranteed that person’s safety.
  • Yichu warned Chu Mo that the Immortal Garden might covertly cooperate with Xuanming and advised him to beware of its disciples.
  • Yichu revealed that the Sect Master might have hidden another Root Origin in an Otherworld, but cautioned Chu Mo against investigating it himself in case the lead was a trap.
  • Yichu explained that Xuanming borrowed his power to bestow Dao Registers from a Dao Venerable of Upper Mound.

Ch. 442A familiar face? A familiar name!

Chu Mo took control of Yuan Hao and spread his Other-Self Aspect through most of the Origin Race while searching for the Mountain of Origin. When the fifth- or sixth-generation Ming He invaded, Chu Mo used the ensuing battle to send Origin Race members into the void, but they found no trace of the mountain, so he decided not to let Ming He escape.

  • Chu Mo used the All Beings Aspect to seize Yuan Hao’s fate and occupy his body in the Lesser Origin Realm.
  • Chu Mo converted most of the Origin Race into Other-Self Aspects and learned that their attempts to explore the void beneath the floating islands had failed.
  • Ming He descended into the realm, slaughtered the Origin Race, and sent many of them falling into the void.
  • Chu Mo’s Other-Self Aspects found no Mountain of Origin in the void, strengthening his suspicion that it concealed a great secret.
  • Chu Mo decided to keep Ming He from escaping as the Origin Race members turned their eerie gazes toward him.

Ch. 443An Honest Kid

Chu Mo learned that Xuanming had ordered him to support the Azure Depths School in the Eastern Sea, while Ji Heng warned that Life-Ending Society members might target him. When Enforcement Hall’s Hua Qing confronted him over delaying the deployment, Chu Mo openly challenged his authority and told him to stay out of True Harmony Association’s affairs.

  • Ming He retrieved a high-quality Essence of Mother Qi pearl, and Chu Mo secretly observed him through All Beings Aspect.
  • Chu Mo received Xuanming’s deployment order to assist the Azure Depths School in the Eastern Sea, and Yichu suspected it was a test of the Harmony Truth Lineage’s support for Chu Mo.
  • Ji Heng warned Chu Mo that Xuanming had secretly deployed Life-Ending Society members and sent him detailed information about them.
  • Yichu offered to delay the deployment order by arranging a prior True Harmony Association assignment for Chu Mo.
  • Hua Qing confronted Chu Mo for not leaving for the Eastern Sea and demanded that he address him as Senior Brother.
  • Chu Mo called Hua Qing a wretch whose Dao Path had been severed and told him that outsiders had no right to interfere in True Harmony Association’s affairs.

Ch. 444What Did You Understand?!

Chu Mo resisted Huaqing’s attempt to enforce a transfer order, and Yichu intervened by revealing that Chu Mo already had an earlier assignment. After Huaqing left, Chu Mo contacted Ji Heng and began using the Dream Origin with Chang Le to cultivate his understanding of [Death].

  • Huaqing attacked Chu Mo for refusing the transfer order, but Chu Mo’s Two Forms Sword badly damaged Huaqing’s Half-Moon Wheel and forced him back.
  • Yichu arrived and showed that Chu Mo’s assignment to investigate Falling Star City in the Cloud-Robed Cosmos had been registered a month before the transfer order.
  • Yichu accused Huaqing of attacking a Harmony Truth Lineage disciple, and Huaqing left after warning them he would remember the incident.
  • Outside, Huaqing privately resolved to report Chu Mo’s strength and the Harmony Truth Lineage’s support to the Sect Master.
  • Yichu explained that Huaqing had lost his Dao title and could no longer cultivate his Dao Path’s mystique, then gave Chu Mo the Cloud-Robed Cosmos coordinates and warned him to be cautious.
  • Chu Mo contacted Ji Heng about Huaqing, then entered his True Realm and asked Chang Le to use the Dream Origin to help him cultivate.

Ch. 445I'm a Three-No Man Anyway

Chu Mo deepened his control over the Death Origin through dream cultivation, then learned that Huaqing had been killed and considered how the death might drive Xuanming to distrust Extinction Life. Yichu warned that Chu Mo still needed to prepare for a mission to [Cloud-Robed Cosmos] amid Dragonkind’s growing unrest.

  • Chu Mo spent ten months in Chang Le’s Dreamscape and improved his control over the Death Origin enough to imbue his Divine Thought with [death] safely.
  • Ji Heng informed Chu Mo that the matter had been resolved, and Yichu then reported that Huaqing had died after leaving the sect on business in the World Sea.
  • Yichu said the Enforcement Hall had found no clues and reasoned that Xuanming might suspect Extinction Life, while Chu Mo denied instigating or participating in Huaqing’s death.
  • Chu Mo and Yichu discussed letting suspicion fall on Ji Heng and potentially making Xuanming question Extinction Life’s support.
  • Yichu told Chu Mo to prepare to travel to [Cloud-Robed Cosmos] and explained that Dragonkind had grown increasingly frenzied after repeated hardships.
