"Do Werewolves really exist? Does this stuff actually work?"
Inside an infantry foxhole, several soldiers examined their Wolf Venom Neutralizers. Each was a little steel cylinder the size of a cartridge case. A veteran unscrewed the cap, revealing the tip of a needle.
Plenty of people elsewhere were examining the drug too, including the Black Castle students. Marlin held up the needle and poised it over her arm.
"Oh, this looks convenient. You just jab yourself with it."
"I heard the new professor, Matt, developed it. Apparently, he used his own serum."
"The professor's serum? I haven't heard anything about that."
The people beside her asked curiously, and Marlin grinned.
"Shows what you know! The professor's immune to wolf venom. He once killed the famous Silver Mane Werewolf in passing while away on business. He's the bane of Werewolves. Handel told me about it."
"Uh, aren't Radiant Knights the bane of all dark creatures?"
"All right, stop slacking. We've got plenty of time, but the sooner we finish, the better."
"Right!"
They began preparing their materials, twisting open little bottles and pouring their contents into a steel cup. After mixing everything thoroughly, they poured it into several glass vessels shaped like teapots.
Groups of Black Castle students were doing the same thing all over the camp. Once each student received a teapot, they mentally reviewed the design's structure, then swiftly leaped aside.
Liquid began flowing from the spouts. Though the streams were as fine as threads, they left clearly visible marks on the ground. Every student traced precise lines while moving through their assigned area.
The ordinary soldiers prepared for battle in tense anticipation, while the nearly hundred Black Castle students looked, from above, as though they were performing a coordinated dance.
