The soldiers of the Forward Legion were illuminated as well. Countless faces wore expressions of astonishment and fascination, and many felt goosebumps rise all over their bodies, as though a current had passed through them.
The being within the blue-green glow merely sat there, yet everyone in the Forward Legion had instinctively slowed their breathing, as though afraid that breathing too heavily might frighten away this magnificent creature.
This is an elf! A true elf! Not something imagined in a magic book, not something conjectured by the Warlocks of Varata, and certainly not something from a legend, but a genuine elf born in this world!
Merely seeing those eyes had made Mulan certain of his judgment. The elf seemed able to see something in Mulan's eyes as well.
Unlike Mulan and the others, who were skilled at concealing fluctuations in their magic power, the elf's magic power did fluctuate. Yet, like the wisps of blue-green light swaying in the wind, it all seemed to blend into nature. One could sense that magic power, but could not follow its fluctuations back to its source, as though it were the wind itself, the earth itself, the sky itself.
Without question, this elf possessed at least the full power of the fifth tier, broadly speaking, if not more.
