After Matt left, Mulan turned to the students in the classroom. Someone could not help asking a question.
"Professor, was what Professor Matt said true? Was it really human transmutation?"
Mulan swept his gaze over them. Almost everyone was watching closely, waiting for his answer. That was good. It meant they all clearly understood what human transmutation signified.
"Yes. It was human transmutation-controlled, precision human transmutation, at that. Building on independent research, we drew on some of the knowledge in the third issue of Truth and Magic to accomplish this extraordinary feat. It will be published in the upcoming fourth issue."
"It's actually true!" "Human transmutation!"
"Oh, Holy Light above!" "My heavens!" "I think our professor is a coauthor, too."
The students grew excited. Although few of them specialized in alchemy, they reacted much like reasonably informed internet users suddenly witnessing an epoch-making breakthrough in medicine or aerospace, marveling in the comments or scrolling chat and leaving likes.
Mulan smiled.
"That is what makes the magic journal Truth and Magic so great. It will greatly advance the process of magical scientification, and human transmutation is just one of its great achievements. It has tremendous practical value in supernatural medicine."
Magical scientification was a concept Mulan had been promoting at the Black Castle.
"All right, back to class. By the end of this month, at least six of you should be ready to attempt a breakthrough into the Realm of Truth, but I hope there will be more. The Empire desperately needs fresh blood, and the supernatural world needs energetic new blood like you."
After class, Mulan gathered his materials and prepared to leave. Several students came out of the classroom and caught up with him.
"Professor, do you think we could publish papers in the journal?"
Mulan glanced at them.
