"Mulan, do you think this soup could be published in Truth and Magic?"
Matt asked with a hint of anticipation, bringing Mulan's thoughts back to reality.
"I don't think so. More precisely, it wouldn't be suitable."
Mulan spoke as he studied the transparent test tube.
"Because it clearly isn't scientifically controllable. In other words, only Chris can give us Chris's Love."
Chris, who had seemed a little disappointed, immediately perked up, a brilliant smile spreading across her face. Clearly, her thoughts moved faster than those of Mulan and Matt, who were absorbed in academic matters.
At least in Chris's eyes, this dish was an excellent bond between them.
"Really? That's such a shame."
"Yes, it really is. Oh, right, Chris, I'd like another pot. Could you make one for me?"
"No problem. I'll get the ingredients ready and make it for you."
Once Chris left, Mulan leaned closer to Matt.
"This stuff probably has a fairly high fatality rate. Even for me, the most I could withstand at once would be two test tubes' worth. So if you research it privately and try taking it yourself, limit each dose to ten drops and take it with a mild potion to neutralize it."
"I'd have to be mad to take it recklessly!"
Matt immediately insisted, but Mulan knew him too well. The man would definitely research it.
Of course, however Matt went about his research, it wouldn't matter even if he actually managed to reverse-engineer something.
Mulan's greatest gain that day was this unusual Awakening Potion. Some of its powerful effects were far more complex than they appeared.
