"Wait!" Toru Kujyo called after her. "Don't pack too much. Just bring a few of your favorite outfits and some snacks. We're going on an adventure, not moving house."
Hanabi stopped, gave it some serious thought, then nodded emphatically. "Okay! Got it! Big Brother Kujyo, wait for me. I'll be right back!" With that, she raced out of the training ground like a gust of wind, heading for the Hyuga Clan Compound.
Watching Hanabi disappear into the distance, Toru Kujyo's lips curled into a meaningful smile. He stood and brushed the dust off his clothes. To him, this trip was far more than simply taking a little girl out for some fun. He needed to unwind, to think, and, more importantly, to verify a few things. Hanabi happened to be the perfect "cover" for his journey.
In less than half an hour, Hanabi came running back, panting. No guards followed her; she had clearly managed to shake them off. She wore a small backpack, her face glowing with excitement and anticipation.
"Big Brother Kujyo, I'm ready! Are we leaving now?" she asked eagerly.
