That was right-run!
I can't defeat the Blood Brides, but as long as I outrun the people beside me, I can survive!
The same thought sprang into every pursuer's mind.
Then, a moment later-
Someone acted.
The thought became action!
One man darted out of the defensive circle they had formed and raced into the distance. The others froze, not expecting anyone else to have the same idea.
Then they came to their senses and turned to flee, one after another.
What followed was a chain reaction, like falling dominoes. Seeing this, the people in the other defensive circles began running without hesitation.
The Blood Brides followed close behind, sobbing softly.
A one-sided slaughter began.
In the distance, the Lady of the Long Night watched with a smile.
Wasn't this sort of death exactly what she wanted?
Having someone else eliminate her targets one by one was simply wonderful.
Yet there was not a trace of mirth in her azure eyes.
Only coldness.
She silently watched the Blood Scion who had appeared outside 5 Moon Street.
The Blood Scion's scarlet eyes answered the Lady of the Long Night with equal coldness.
Blood kept spraying, and corpses piled up on the ground. The late-night slaughter seemed endless, its wails, pleas, curses, and roars weaving together into a symphony of human despair.
As the performer, the Blood Scion waited for his audience's response.
As the audience, the Lady of the Long Night waited for the music to end.
Neither was in a hurry.
After all, on Moon Street at that moment, each saw only the other as a worthy opponent.
As for everyone else?
In the Lady of the Long Night's eyes, they were already becoming irrelevant.
To the Blood Scion, however, these people were expendable supplies-supplies to liven up the battle
