The sudden thought left Arthur frozen in place.
To conceal his reaction, he almost instinctively raised his head and looked at the towering [Death Snake Banyan] before him-the instincts of a Medium had long since been branded deep into his soul.
My memories are most likely real!
If these memories of mine were fabricated...
Then things would get interesting!
As thoughts raced through Arthur's mind, he felt no panic whatsoever. Instead, a thrill welled up from the depths of his soul-if this conjecture proved true, he very much wanted to know who had done this to him.

Following that line of reasoning, was the world before him even real?

I wouldn't dare even think about it!
Arthur quickly collected himself and buried those thoughts deep in his heart.
He knew perfectly well that, true or not, this was beyond his current ability to handle.
Rather than dwell on it and let whoever might exist notice something amiss...
He would be better off burying it, investigating slowly, gathering strength, and then waiting for the right moment to act.
A smile appeared on Arthur's face, and Malinda caught sight of it.
"What are you scheming this time?
Tone it down!
That smile of yours sends chills down people's spines!"
Malinda curled her lip.
"Those people who think I'm injured, of course!
Who else could it be? You?
Seriously injured, I had no choice but to plant a War Tree to protect myself-that's perfectly reasonable, isn't it?"
Arthur lowered his head, still smiling.
"Right, right, of course!"
Having picked up one of Arthur's catchphrases at some point, Malinda repeated it several times, then raised her pipe and spoke with a show of pride.
"How does tobacco fed on honey
