Arthur looked at Malinda across the dining table.
He knew Malinda was laying out their plans, but he needed to confirm a few more things.
He studied her expression closely.
[Keen Eyes] and [Reading People] were practically flashing like searchlights.
But he found nothing.
Arthur immediately breathed a sigh of relief.
The young Medium rose, walked over to Malinda, and extended his right hand, palm up-

Arthur looked down at Malinda, his gaze gentle and a smile on his lips.
In the candlelight, the already beautiful Malinda looked even more enchanting, especially her azure eyes, which seemed to ripple like ocean waves.
It was as though he could truly see the sea.
Intoxicating.
Mesmerizing.
Anyone who saw Malinda at that moment would have been drawn to her beauty and marveled at the allure of those eyes.
But Malinda was looking up at Arthur.
From her angle, the candlelight overhead illuminated Arthur's entire face. There was not a trace of shadow around his nose, eyes, or neck, only his fair skin.
Under that bright glow, Arthur's long eyebrows, straight nose, and bright black eyes were all made infinitely more beautiful.
Especially those black eyes, so different from Malinda's azure ones.
Deep yet bright, they seemed endlessly affectionate at that moment, yet as clear as a child's eyes.
They brimmed with an innocent, guileless youthfulness. Even the slight downward turn of Arthur's lips did nothing to spoil that impression; instead, it made him look as though he were smiling with his lips pressed together.
Unconsciously, Malinda raised her hand and placed it in Arthur's palm.
Their eyes met, and Malinda's breathing grew rapid. Flecks of dust began floating in the candlelight.
