Ascension Rank!
Arthur had already guessed as much.
Given the Count of South Los's strength and influence in South Los, Arthur could think of nothing except Ascendants that would warrant his attention.
But what Arthur had not expected was this.
There were actually three Ascendants.
Three Ascendants!
What a surprise!
Arthur could not help marveling inwardly once again.
He marveled at the appearance of three Ascendants.
But even more, he marveled at the Count of South Los's composure in the face of three Ascendants.
Despite knowing that three Ascendants had appeared, the Count of South Los could still remain so relaxed. And although the Chief Swordswoman before him sounded surprised, there was not a trace of panic in her expression. What did that mean?
It meant that, in the Chief Swordswoman's eyes, the Count at least had the confidence to face those three Ascendants.
Oh, my dear Count!
Just how powerful are you?
Which of the ten steps to godhood have you reached?
Or did the House of South Los leave you some hidden trump card?
Sigh!
Families that have endured for over a thousand years really are a headache.
Arthur sighed inwardly, but his expression never changed.
The accumulated resources of a thousand-year-old family could not be ignored.
Yet that inability to ignore them worked in his favor.
At least in South Los, he did not have to worry about three Ascendants coming to his door.
Besides, he was just a young, upright, innocent, and kind Medium. How could those three Ascendants possibly have come because of him?
If the sky fell, the Count of South Los would hold it up.
The man was taller.
And Arthur?
Keep growing!
Lie low and keep growing!
Arthur understood that well, so after his initial surprise, he quickly calmed down.
