Outside the door, Edwin froze when he saw Arthur and Malinda Julius Caesar emerge side by side, hand in hand.
Disbelief filled the coachman's eyes.
He almost cried out in shock.
As a trusted confidant, Edwin naturally knew about his mistress's "problem."
But knowing made it all the more unbelievable.
So much so that the coachman gave himself a vicious pinch.
Hiss!
Sharp pain spread through his thigh, making Edwin grimace. He immediately bowed to conceal it.
Still, the coachman had not forgotten his business. He lowered his voice and said,
"Those people have already entered the hall."
At those words, Malinda, who had been about to withdraw her hand to ease her adverse reaction, forced herself to endure it.
Her complexion, however, turned ghastly.
Standing so close, Arthur could clearly see her cheeks bulging as she clenched her teeth.
And those bulging cheeks were trembling.
It's gone from psychological to physical. This probably isn't just a simple aversion to men!
As Arthur watched, he quietly released her hand-otherwise, he feared she might vomit bile all over him.
He knew of a fellow man with a severe aversion to men, someone who broke out in hives whenever another man approached and had consequently hired a whole bunch of women as bodyguards.
He had never expected to encounter someone with an even stronger reaction, like Malinda.
Malinda paused, then gave Arthur a grateful look.
Fighting back the urge to vomit was anything but pleasant.
Especially when it came in wave after wave. She had nearly lost control just now.
Phew!
After another deep breath, Malinda quickly recovered and spoke.
"I'll introduce you to the guests at the salon in a moment. None of South Los's nobles are attending today. With Baron Kemail's death, they're avoiding any appearance of impropriety. Of course,
