Faced with the sudden roar, and especially after sensing two Ascendant auras locked in constant combat, with two Step-Entry auras and numerous Major Arcana Rank auras following one Ascendant to relentlessly gang up on the other, the young South Los Medium finally understood-

It wasn't that they didn't want to send a Protector!

Through his senses, the young South Los Medium could easily identify the Ascendant leading the group assault. After all, that sword-sharp aura came from exactly the same lineage as Carral's.
Without a doubt, that Ascendant was the Marquis of Einhaas.
With his identity confirmed, the identities of the remaining Step-Entry and Major Arcana Rank combatants went without saying.
They were the nobles of the Einhaas Fief.
The other Ascendant aura, however, surprised Arthur.
