Wearing the Human Nation's military uniform, Cheng Yu stood atop the walls of the Imperial Capital Ancient City, the most imposing building in Capital City. Watching the traffic coming and going below, he spoke softly.
"Xia."
Luo Xia stood at attention.
"What are your orders, Chairman?"
Cheng Yu rolled his eyes at him.
"There's nobody else here. Just call me Brother Yu. What's with this Chairman business?"
Luo Xia laughed.
"I've gotten used to it."
Cheng Yu teased him.
"Now you know why I didn't want to join the government."
Luo Xia looked puzzled.
"Then why did you still..."
Cheng Yu smiled.
"But there are some things I really do need the government's resources for. Haven't you noticed that your plot has already gone off track?"
Luo Xia smiled wryly.
"Yeah. After you soloed the General, Brother Yu, the plot went completely off the rails."
Cheng Yu continued.
"Exactly. So if I want to take on the Weird Kings next, I'll need the government's resources. Besides, they invited me to join the highest level of command, not to be ordered around. Why wouldn't I take them up on it?"
Luo Xia nodded thoughtfully.
Cheng Yu spread his hands.
"Well, I'm only the supreme military commander in name, but most of what I need from the government is information anyway."
Just then, a Ghost-Tamer in a Special Affairs Bureau uniform approached Cheng Yu and saluted.
"Chairman, Director Yun requests your presence."
Cheng Yu asked.
"Do you know what it's about?"
The Ghost-Tamer replied.
"Director Yun said this is top secret and must not be disclosed."
As he spoke, he glanced at Luo Xia.
Cheng Yu said unhurriedly.
"Xia is my secretary and holds the rank of lieutenant general. Both his position and his rank are higher than yours. Anything you're allowed
