Grete spoke with a hollow smile.
"So, Your Highness, may I ask what other positions I'll be filling?"
Seeing that Doggy seemed a little annoyed, Cheng Yu spoke earnestly.
"You're getting hung up on appearances, Doggy. Why fuss over all that? Of course, you'll also be handling lighting, logistics, bit parts, errands, and a whole range of other ground-level jobs..."
Seeing that Grete was about to explode, Cheng Yu sensibly changed tack and continued.
"Of course, you'll also be the action director, second male lead, assistant director, planner, and so on."
Grete wasn't buying any of it. He sneered.
"Oh? Then may I ask what position Big Sis will hold?"
Cheng Yu answered.
"Big Sis? She'll be our publicity ambassador, of course. With her presence, how could she be anything else?"
Grete's mouth twitched. Does this thing you're doing even need publicity?
But the fact remained that this was a stage Her Eminence had agreed to let them build. He couldn't wreck the production. Besides, if he performed well, perhaps he might even earn Her Eminence's praise.
At that thought, Grete seemed to feel considerably better.
Seeing Doggy being so cooperative, Cheng Yu couldn't help smiling like a proud father.
At last, the "subway" began to shake, apparently about to ascend.
Sure enough, the synthesized voice inside the "subway" announced,
"West District. We have arrived at West District Station 10. Please take care when boarding and alighting."
Carrying the burlap sack, Grete stepped out of this rather peculiar "subway."
But when Cheng Yu saw the place called West District Station 10, he frowned. Most of the buildings here were crooked metal structures, and most of the people on the streets looked lean and sturdy. Their mechanical prosthetics weren't as... well, refined as those worn by the pedestrians at Station 4.
