Looking at the Light Screen before him, Cheng Yu knew things had gotten interesting.
"Congratulations! You have obtained a reward clue. Some Players seem rather unwilling to follow the game's rules. Help the Public Security General Office capture the Red-Name Players to receive a 100% reliable clue. (Incomplete)"
Well, this clue is obviously baiting me. What else can I do? I've got nothing better to do anyway, so I might as well try cracking it.
But Red-Name Players? Someone broke the rules?
Two possible suspects came to Cheng Yu's mind. First, Doggy and the Demon Emperor's team. They were Holy Spirit beings, after all, and with the arrogance unique to Demons, they were very likely to do something like disregard the rules.
Second were the Players. To those lawless Players, rules? Weren't those things meant to be broken?
Cheng Yu leaned more toward Doggy's team, though, because he knew how powerful those monsters were. Every last one of them was like something pumped full of compound fertilizer-ferocious as hell.
Still, he couldn't rule out the Players. Those wildly imaginative lunatics always managed to do something unexpected that left everyone dumbfounded.
So Cheng Yu said,
"By the way, Mr. Director, I think I might have some ideas about these criminals."
The monster turned to look at Cheng Yu, seemingly sizing him up. Only after a long while did the monster say,
"Are you one of the Trial-Takers in this trial?"
Cheng Yu immediately grew wary. Dermot had told him that a Trial-Taker's status in the Divine Emperor Trial was highly coveted. It wasn't as though no monsters had tried to probe his background along the way, but his superb acting and his badge identifying him as a member of Dermot's Logistics Club had driven them all away.
