After the Parchment was peeled off Doggy's face, clarity gradually returned to his eyes.
Looking at Cheng Yu before him, Grete was rather bewildered.
"Your Highness? What's going on?"
Seeing the state Doggy was in, Cheng Yu patted his shoulder.
"Nothing much. Go have some fun for now. I still have things to do."
Looking at Cheng Yu, Grete felt as though his mind had become a complete mess. He rubbed his forehead and asked,
"Have you finished the task His Eminence gave you?"
Cheng Yu recalled Big Shot's final words.
"Yeah, I suppose I have."
Grete said nothing more and merely spread his hands.
"All right, then. I'll meet up with you later."
Cheng Yu nodded.
After Grete left, Miss Puppet appeared as well.
Cheng Yu smiled at Miss Puppet before him.
"Hehe, Big Sis, how are you feeling? Everything all right?"
Miss Puppet was the same as ever. She smiled and nodded.
"Thanks to you, I'm quite well."
Her answer took Cheng Yu aback. Big Sis's response was so very human. But he soon let it go. Whatever state she was in now didn't matter, as long as she was still Big Sis.
As though she had noticed his inner conflict, Miss Puppet said softly,
"Go ahead. I'll wait for you beside His Eminence."
Cheng Yu smiled at that.
Then Miss Puppet vanished too.
Cheng Yu collected himself and set off for Kashi Star.
After Big Shot and the Mother Goddess left, the system had returned to normal as well. But rather than tell Cheng Yu how it had nearly died, the first thing it said upon recovering was,
