As an envoy of the celestial dynasty that embodied Humankind's destiny, a special envoy should, in principle, have been a prestigious and highly coveted position.
But that also depended on which power one was sent to visit. Conflicts large and small between the Demon Race and Humankind had practically never stopped.
Neither side observed the principle that envoys should be spared even when two armies were at war.
So anyone with eyes knew that missions to the Demon Race were almost always assigned to insignificant nobodies.
Thus, whenever the matter of sending an envoy to the Demon Race arose, everyone would lower their eyes and remain silent, feigning ignorance or madness whenever they could.
But Chong Wen was different. He had personally volunteered to Qin Shuo for this mission to the Demon Race.
